Photography, to me, is more than creating a beautiful image; it’s about capturing confidence, personality, style, and presence.

My connection to photography began with my mother, who loved documenting our family gatherings and preserving the moments that brought us together. Years later, while serving in the U.S. Navy, I traveled to different places, cultures, and people, and photography became a way for me to preserve those experiences and the stories behind them.

That passion eventually became Epic Imagery by Mikel.

Today, I specialize in editorial and fashion-inspired portrait photography, creating polished and intentional imagery with the individual always at the center of the story. Whether we’re creating in the studio or using a unique location as the backdrop, my focus remains on you, your style, personality, confidence, and presence.

I believe some of the strongest portraits happen when preparation, creativity, and authenticity come together. Every session is a collaboration, from developing the concept and selecting the wardrobe and location to creating the final images.

My goal is not simply to take photographs, but to create an experience and a collection of images that feel elevated, authentic, and distinctly you.
